Although human lips are useful for functional purposes, they also contribute significantly to our facial expressions and our youthful radiance. Beautiful lips and a full mouth are often associated with youthfulness, attractiveness and vitality. Women frequently long for full lips, which are a symbol of sensuality and femininity. Sometimes, people wish that their lips were aligned for a more harmonious facial appearance. Luckily, customers of the prevention-center Zug can achieve aesthetically appealing and natural results with low risk and effective treatments, such as lip fillers with autologous fat and hyaluronic acid.

Fillers are suitable for almost anyone who wants an individual correction of the lips. People have widely differing motivations that are as individual as the treatment; the treatment can, for example, make very narrow lips fuller, making the entire face appear more symmetrical and harmonious. Depending on the type and amount of filling materials used, the end result is entirely in line with your personal preference. Natural and discreet increases in lip volume, as well as conspicuous enlargements, are possible with the help of a professional lip augmentation at the prevention-center Zug.

Depending on the concept, customers can choose from a variety of fillers. The various materials differ in the degradability of the filling substance by the body. Dr. Köhler always discusses the details of the respective methods in a personal conversation with the customer, in order to make the right decision about the type of filler to shape the lips for the best possible result.

The best-known absorbable (i.e. degradable) fillers include autologous fat and hyaluronic acid. Filling materials are considered to be absorbable if, after their introduction into the lips, they are naturally broken down again over time by the body. It takes about six months for hyaluronic acid to be independently degraded by the body. The durability of autologous fat, on the other hand, varies from person to person but can be expected to last for a few years.

Basically, autologous fat and hyaluronic acid are materials that are naturally found in the human body. The fats used for lip augmentation are obtained from suitable body regions of the customer, while hyaluronic acid used is of animal origin. This means that both filling materials are generally well-tolerated. However, as the body slowly absorbs them in the course of the processes of natural degradation, subsequent treatments are advisable in order to maintain the result.

Every professional lip injection with fillers at the prevention-center in Zug is preceded by a comprehensive medical consultation, in which the patient's general state of health is clarified and the precise treatment procedure is explained.

Injection with hyaluronic acid usually only takes a few minutes. The treatment is done by injecting the filling substance into the desired areas with a very fine needle. As hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the connective tissue, it is, therefore, very well-tolerated during the application. In addition, hyaluronic acid allows a very exact modelling of the lips, so beautiful results can be achieved, which guarantee lips that look naturally kissable.

If the decision for the lips is sprayed with the customer's own fat, the treatment is comparatively more extensive. This is because the fat required for the under-injection must first be removed from a suitable body region and then specifically processed before the injection is possible. The thighs or abdomen are generally suitable as removal points. After preparation, the fat is then injected into the lips, which ensures an increase in volume and fuller lips. The results are immediately visible after the treatment regardless of whether the customer opts for lip fillers with hyaluronic acid or autologous fat.

Any post-treatment steps depend, among other things, on the individual well-being of the customer. Lip fillers can cause slight swelling around the lips, but this usually disappears within a few days. Cooling the lips leads to rapid symptom relief and short-term administration of pain-relieving drugs is also possible if so desired. In order to promote the success of the treatment, it is usually recommended to eat and speak carefully for several days following the procedure. In addition, care should be taken not to massage the lips or to expose them to high pressure to prevent redistribution of the fillers. However, after the lips have been injected, the customer is very quickly able to socialise again and need not expect any major restrictions in everyday life.

A lip treatment is an uncomplicated and low-risk procedure. However, Dr. Köhler always discusses with his customers exactly what the initial medical situation involves. Possible side effects include localised hardening, swelling and a sensation of numbness in the lips. However, these side effects will disappear after a few days and will not pose a serious problem for the customer.
