A round, curvy behind is an important part of an attractive, feminine silhouette. However, not every woman is naturally blessed with a shapely bottom, which can damage a woman’s self-confidence and make her feel less attractive. Women with a flat bottom or whose bottom has begun to sag with age can now benefit from the innovative methods of modern cosmetic medicine and realise their dreams of a round, firm bottom with a Brazilian butt lift at the prevention-center in Zug.
This method uses autologous fat to model the behind and is a particularly gentle treatment option for our clients. The use of the patient’s own body fat eliminates the risk of allergic reactions or intolerance reactions.

Frequently asked questions about the Brazilian Butt Lift
What exactly is a Brazilian butt lift?
A Brazilian butt lift is a surgical procedure to augment a person’s buttocks using their own fat. The first step is to take fat tissue from another part of the patient’s body. We then prepare this tissue and subsequently inject it into the patient’s behind. This involves carefully modelling the buttocks with the aim of visibly lifting saggy fat tissue, firming up the skin and thus creating a larger, rounder butt. The injected fat tissue heals within a few weeks, giving the buttocks a round, curvaceous shape that looks entirely natural.
As a matter of fact, this buttock augmentation procedure got its name from the Brazilian ideal of beauty, which has always featured a round, curvy butt.
Who could benefit from a buttock augmentation?
A butt lift is suitable for anyone who is unhappy with the current shape of their behind and is looking for a natural method to bring harmony to their silhouette without resorting to implants. This not only includes men and women with a flat butt but also applies to people whose behind has begun to droop with age or following weight loss. The butt lift shapes the behind and gives it a firm, toned yet wholly natural appearance. This treatment method, which is based on autologous fat, can be used to create a more harmonious transition between the hips and thighs than would be possible with implants. Using your own fat tissue also achieves results that feel “more real” than implants.
However, very slim women may not be suitable candidates for treatments based on autologous fat; in this case, a buttock augmentation with implants can be a good alternative. We would be happy to advise you on the options open to you at the prevention-center in Zug.
What does a Brazilian butt lift involve?
Before the procedure itself, we will hold a detailed personal consultation with you at the prevention-center in Zug. This will give us the opportunity to discuss your desired results and assess whether a Brazilian butt lift could help you achieve them. If this treatment would be suitable for you, we will explain the procedure to you in detail.
As a general rule, we carry out the Brazilian butt lift under sedation, which usually requires you to spend several hours in our clinic. The procedure itself is composed of two steps. The first step is to extract fat tissue from a predetermined part of the body. The butt lift requires around 200-250ml of autologous fat per cheek, which can be taken from the stomach, hips, back or legs.
Once removed, we prepare the fat tissue before the second stage of the procedure: injecting the fat into the buttocks and modelling it. You will have to wear compression underwear for several weeks after the procedure to preserve and support the shape of the buttocks created in the procedure.
What do I need to consider before and after surgery?
As with any surgical procedure, there are some things to bear in mind before a Brazilian butt lift. Above all, this includes discontinuing the use of any blood-thinning and anticoagulant medication at least 10 days before the operation. This also applies to medication available from pharmacies without a prescription, such as aspirin. It is essential that you disclose whether you take these or any other medication on a regular basis at your consultation appointment, so that we can propose suitable alternatives for this period.
After the procedure, we recommend resting for at least two weeks and avoiding any strenuous physical activity. You should limit yourself to light everyday tasks during this period. It is also important that you do not subject the area to any strong pressure during the healing period. As a result, it is very important that you wear the compression underwear regularly.
Does a buttock augmentation result in visible scarring?
No – the use of very fine cannulae ensures that the puncture sights are not visible to the naked eye once healed and results in barely visible scars.
When will I be able to go about my normal routine and exercise after a buttock augmentation?
Most patients who undergo a butt lift here at the prevention-center in Zug are able to return to their normal routine after around 1 week.
However, you should avoid exercise for at least 4 weeks. Start with less strenuous exercises and slowly increase your workout intensity.
When will the results of a Brazilian butt lift be visible and how long will they last?
Immediately after the procedure, you will experience swelling throughout the buttocks region, which will take several weeks to subside. At that point, the results will start to become visible. It usually takes a few months for the final results to become clear.
A buttock augmentation using autologous body fat delivers enduring results. However, your body’s contours may change again over the course of time, either as you age or due to lifestyle changes. If this happens, the procedure can be repeated.
Does a Brazilian butt lift involve risks?
A Brazilian butt lift is a surgical procedure – and, like any surgical procedure, it entails certain surgical risks. This makes it all the more important that you choose an experienced surgeon like Dr Köhler to perform your treatment in line with strict hygiene standards to minimise the risks.
Following the operation, you may experience slight swelling and/or redness in the treated areas, as well as pain similar to very sore muscles. You can treat wound pain effectively with standard painkillers. Any redness or swelling will recede on its own accord in time.
